Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet Kasbah - This one-day excursion is popular with all,

who are interested in history and culture. The famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the impressive Kasbah of Telouet provide an insight into the rich history of Morocco, as a land of many cultures. We leave Marrakech early in the morning to travel over the High Atlas mountain, the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, the highest mountain pass. We explore the Kasbah of Telouet, one of the finest examples of Moorish architecture within the Mahgreb. Next we go off-road along the beautiful and desolate Ounila valley, which takes us to the famous Ait Ben Haddou, which was the setting for many famous movies, such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and The Prince of Persia… Near the Kasbah we enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch before we head back. The journey home takes us through many Berber villages in incomparably beautiful scenery.

You could also plan this trip as a two-day tour. Then you would continue from Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazate. This would give you the opportunity to visit the film studios in Ouarzazate and the Kasbah Taourirt. Or you could shop in a spice shop in Ouarzazate or admire the handicrafts of the Berbers and Touareg in the antique shop.
